Last days in Hawaii

Hawaii is such a fragrant place.  The flowers and plants are beautiful.  We also noticed how nosy it is with all the birds.

This is the beach in our backyard.  It seems rougher than it was.  It took some local four to ten years old to help get us comfortable.  They were in and out of the water with no adult supervision.
At the end of the road we went in to get some waves........and

On April 11, 2009 Tinsel and Shane said "I do" on the beach just before sunset.

Kailua is a great bay protected by a barrier reef.  It is just fun to float in the waves.

One last look at our
beach and back to 40 degree weather.

Talia and 2nd cousin Evie from Houston meet on the beach.  Evie is now 9 months old.

Brock was put to work cooking steaks and hamburgers by the light of the carport.  It gets dark here by 7:15 pm

This is our lanai.  It is very nice during the day and worked well for dinner.
Heidi with Evie, Ed and Megan.

We took a trip to the North Shore and everyone tried to blow the shell.

We went to a luau at the Marriott complex tonight (Wednesday).  There were 40 in our group including Tinsel's family.

Linda joined the rest of us to get a tattoo for the evening.

This was a fun activity.  Several including Crystal and Jackson went on the outrigger canoe.

Vacation in Hawaii

Spring!

Since late Friday night we have been here in beautiful Hawaii and have been having a wonderful time.  Don't miss the snow we had in the morning

This is the first time I have had internet access without paying for it so needless to say I was to cheap to pay and waited.  We have been spending our time mainly at the beach as you can see by the pictures.
This is Wiakiki from our hotel balcony.  I think I took this about 6:30 am.  Linn did pretty good on the flight thanks to Morgan giving up her seat on the plane.  Saturday he was tired by did make it to the beach.

We got to feed the Koi in the hotel garden.

Morgan Whitney playing in the surf.  You can walk a long way on Waikiki and not get very deep.  People were surfing not far out from here.

Here is the working part on Honolulu.  There is always a ship on the horizon coming or going.

We got to the house we are renting Monday and it is very nice.  The first thing Linn did was set up the hammic and settle in.  We saw the Bellingham group shortly after and we are getting together for dinner tonight.

While Dad slept in the shade the rest of us hit the beach.  The waves here are quite large so we had to be extra careful.  We saw whales this morning off the shore and turtles.

Every night so far we have welcomed the sunset as we are very tired.

Today, Tuesday, is the first day Linn went in the water so it was the first we got to see him in his new beach attire.
I am done for now.  Love to all.  Maybe more tomorrow if this works.
